Frequently asked questions
What contract terms do you offer for large organisations?
We offer 12-month agreements with annual renewal. You can adjust employee numbers, modify coverage tiers, and restructure your plan at renewal without penalties.
Are part-time employees eligible for coverage?
Eligibility is flexible and defined by your business. Most clients include employees working 16-20+ hours weekly, though you can extend coverage to part-time staff based on your strategy and budget.
What's not covered under Simplyhealth's corporate health plans?
We don’t cover cosmetic or non‑clinically necessary procedures, or any experimental treatments. For the Lucent Dental Plan, pre‑existing conditions are covered, except for mouth cancer.
Mouth cancer is not covered if:
It was diagnosed before you were first provided with mouth cancer cover by us
It is diagnosed within 90 days of when your mouth cancer cover first starts
Tests or consultations for suspected mouth cancer began within or before those first 90 days, even if the diagnosis is made later.
For the Simply Health Plan, pre‑planned treatment is covered as long as it takes place during the cover period. Some benefits also have restrictions on the type of practitioner you can see.
Please see full terms and conditions for further information.
How do you handle employees working internationally or relocating abroad?
Employees remain eligible if they meet the definition of a UK Resident (e.g., spending at least 6 months of the year in the UK) or fall within the policy definition of the UK Territory.
Employees on temporary international assignments who still meet UK residency criteria remain covered. If their plan includes worldwide cover, they can claim for treatment received abroad, subject to policy terms.
Employees who permanently relocate and no longer meet UK residency requirements are not eligible for cover.
What support do you provide for employee communication and onboarding?
We supply launch materials and communication templates to help you roll our benefits consistently across departments, locations, or teams, ensuring everyone understands what is available.
Is there a waiting period before employees can start claiming?
Employees can start using their health services as soon as their plan begins and they’ve registered for an online account. Most benefits can also be claimed straight away, as long as the treatment or service is received after the policy start date.
*Excluding the Lucent Cancer Cover benefit. Please read the full terms and conditions for this plan.
Please note: The New Child Payment benefit under our Simply Health Plan has a 6-month qualifying period. This means staff will need to have their plan in place for six months before they can claim for this benefit.
What data and reporting do we get to track benefit usage and ROI?
You'll receive detailed MI (management information) data showing usage patterns, engagement rates, and trends across your workforce. This reporting supports audits, ESG reporting and leadership decisions.
